Jacqueline Alpern

Jacque has worked in education for 20 years, spanning preschool to fifth grade. Her years have been spent advocating and assisting neurodivergent and twice-exceptional students to become engaged and excited about learning. She is passionate about the Reggio Emilia approach, project-based and place-based learning. Jacque is inspired by children’s wonderings and observations, using these insights to involve students in their learning.

Jacque lives in Manhattan with her husband, two teenage sons, and two scruffy rescue terriers. She loves cooking, researching genealogy, and enjoying NYC’s dance, theatre, and restaurants.
