The JCC PA meeting was held on May 3rd. There was a great turnout and we had a very successful meeting. The PA Meeting was followed by the first ever parent bingo night. Lots of laughs and great fun! Thanks to all those who came and played!
You can access the PA meeting minutes on the JCC Nursery School website. They are also attached to this week’s PANI. We encourage everyone within the JCC Nursery School to be involved in the PA in whatever way you can. There are incredible opportunities available in various areas. Please reach out to any member of the Leadership Team (details below), Felicia and Ilana to learn about the possibilities. We would love for you to become involved!
The final PA Meeting will be on Wednesday, May 30 @ 8:45 am in the Beit Midrash. EVERYONE IS WELCOME and we look forward to seeing you there!

* FAMILY TIME SHABBAT FUN:
Please join us on Friday May 18th at 7pm for a dynamic family friendly Shabbat in our 3rd floor gymnasium. Begin the evening with Shabbat rituals and music led by our very own Paul Wolf before moving to the 3rd floor for a buffet dinner. Afterwards parents can enjoy another glass of wine and take part in stimulating discussions focusing on different elements of Being Jewish on the Upper West Side.
The kids will be entertained with Shabbat friendly activities, relay races, tumbling and other fabulous gym games with the JCC’s extraordinary coaches! This dinner is being presented in partnership with the UJA-Federation of New York.

* HEMOPHILIA WALK – 6/3/12:
On Sunday June 3rd please join fellow JCC families inside Riverside Park at W. 83rd St., for the Hemophilia Walk!
Join the first ever Hemophilia Walk team - the one that inspired a national Walk!
7 years ago, we started this Walk - a JCC nursery school family whose child has hemophilia - and we have been supported by the JCC since the inaugural Walk! Led by Coach Darren - with teachers volunteering - walk with past, present and future JCC nursery school families, teachers and administrators! There’s a 1mile and a 5k route.
Tie-dye shirts, medals at the finish line, rainbow bagels, Looney Louie and more!

Join the Library Commitee on Sunday, May 20th at 10am in Classroom 6 for a Fabulous Tribute to Children's Author Maurice Sendak!
We'll be reading and singing along to "Chicken Soup with Rice", "In the Night Kitchen" and of course "Where the Wild Things Are".

* Make a Splash! the JCC's Pre-Summer Swim Program:
Have your children Make a Splash! this summer before camp even starts! Are you children nervous around water or do they need more work on their strokes? Our Make a Splash! Pre-Summer Swim Program at the JCC (June 11-14 and June 18-21) is here to help your child swim without fear, ease and most importantly confidence!

In an original work of imagination unleashed by the magic of children’s books, five-time Tony Award nominee Elizabeth Swados presents Jewish Books Cooking.
Based on 13 Jewish-themed children’s books selected by Ms. Swados herself – including Afikomen Mambo, The Klezmer Bunch, and Baxter, the Pig Who Wanted to be Kosher - the production peppers theatrical interpretations of each story with newly composed music and arrangements.
Jewish Books Cooking is presented with the generous support of The Covenant Foundation.
