Miranda Kalish joined the JCC Nursery School community in 2018 as an associate teacher in Classroom 2. She was born and raised in New York City and returned to the city upon graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in psychological and brain sciences. Miranda has a plethora of experience working with young children. During her college years, Miranda worked at the Washington University Nursery School, and she spent her summers as a group leader at a literacy-focused camp in East Harlem. Since graduating, Miranda has worked for many programs at the JCC in addition to teaching at the Nursery School, including 2s Together, Havurah, and the JCC Day Camp. In the classroom, she is passionate about forming strong relationships with her students and together creating an atmosphere that fosters curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.
