Welcome to the JCC Nursery School Parents Association!

We are Betsy Goldin and Jill Fink, your Parents Association co-chairs for the 2016-17 school year, and we are excited and honored to serve in this role. Betsy and her husband, David, are coming up on their third year at the nursery school. Their son, Charlie, is entering Pre-K, and they also have a 19-month-old daughter, Katie. Jill and her husband, Aaron, are returning to the nursery school with their youngest son, Zach, entering the morning 3s program. Their 7-year-old twins, Abby and Ben, are JCC Nursery alums.

Little did we know, five and three years ago when we were applying our oldest children to the JCC Nursery School, that we were embarking on so much more than a first school experience for our kids. The school offered everything we wanted for our children--an amazing administration and teaching staff, a warm and loving environment rooted in Jewish values, bright and spacious classrooms, and so much more. But what the JCC Nursery School offers that not all schools do is a vibrant and highly engaged community.

As an integral piece of the greater JCC Manhattan, when you enroll in the nursery school, you get so much more than just what happens in the classrooms. From family programs through the Bert and Sandra Wasserman Center for Family Life to extracurricular classes and activities for everyone in the family to opportunities to explore Jewish life and values through the Center for Jewish Living, being a JCC Nursery School family opens your world to so many opportunities to grow, connect, and have fun.

Because the JCC Nursery School attracts families who want to engage broadly and deeply, we are so lucky to have an incredibly active parent community. With over 25 Parents Association sponsored events throughout the year and innumerable volunteer opportunities, we hope to create an environment that is welcoming to all families and accommodates whatever type of engagement works for you, whether you work in an office or are at home. We hope you will immerse yourself in this very special community by attending events, volunteering, and coming to Parents Association meetings. We are dedicated to making all of these experiences warm and meaningful to you. We’ve found that the more involved we are with the JCC community, the greater the nursery school experience is for our families and ourselves, and we hope you will feel the same way.
