Julia Weiss

Julia started working at the nursery school in 2016 as a floating teacher, and is now an associate teacher in Classroom 4. She grew up in Louisville, KY, and graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in management and a certificate in Jewish studies. After completing her undergraduate degree, Julia moved to New York and studied educational leadership in communal settings, and received her M.A. degree in Jewish education from the Jewish Theological Seminary.

While she was pursuing her master’s degree, Julia worked in the Capital Gifts and Special Initiatives department at UJA-Federation of New York. As a long-time camper and staff member at Camp Ramah Darom, she realized, after being at UJA for almost two years, that she is most passionate about working with children. During the summer, Julia is the site director of the Day Camp @ JCC Manhattan. She loves being a part of the JCC school community!
