Emunah Garfield joined the Saul and Carole Zabar Nursery School in 2017, and served primarily as a floating teacher in Classroom 2. She graduated from Barnard College in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She has worked as a Hebrew school teacher, a psychosocial intern at a camp for twice exceptional children, a teaching assistant for a developmental psychology class, and most recently enjoyed her summer at an infant cognition lab, which explored infants' perception of morality, gender, and race. Emunah is inspired by the authenticity and clarity of children in their quest to understand our world, especially the emotional and social layers that serve as the foundation of the classroom and eventually lay the groundwork for citizenship in our world. Emunah is grateful for the opportunity to foster the growth of the inquisitive, creative, and independent minds in Classroom 3 this year!
